MULTAN -The number of mortalities caused by Swine Flu has risen to seven as two other patients died in Nishtar Hospital on Friday night. The deceased Aasia Bilal, 26, was resident of Chowk Azam, Layyah and Saed Alam, 28, resident of Loralayi, Balochistan. Both of them were brought to the hospital with severe symptoms of flu, fever, congestion and cough a few days back. On the other hand all the remaining Swine Flu patients were discharged from the hospital and the isolation ward got empty.
Earlier, four patients namely Ikram, Farrah, Mahmoodul Hassan Humaira and Rubina had died of Swine Flu in Nishtar Hospital. Keeping in view intensity of virus attack, the government has taken a number of steps including declaration of emergency at Nishtar Hospital. Similarly, an Influenza counter has also been set up at emergency Ward while a High Dependence Unit (HDU) and isolation area were established in Ward No-27 besides installation of ventilators at the HDU.
CLASS 9TH EXAMS: The 9th Class Annual Examination, 2014 will commence from March 18th, declared Haider Abbas, Controller Examination of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Saturday. He added that the roll number slips of all candidates had been dispatched to their addressed. However, the slips of those candidates, who have not cleared objection, have not been issued. “They can receive their slips from BISE office personally after getting removed objections,” he added. He suggested to all such candidates, who had not received their roll number slips so far, to contact BISE office and get issued the slips.
