QUETTA - Iranian security forces handed over 38 Pakistanis to authorities at Taftan border on Sunday.
Levies sources said 38 Pakistanis, who had sneaked into Iran without having travelling documents, were arrested by Iranian forces. “They wanted to go to European countries via Iran for a bright economic future,” said Levies sources, adding that the arrested persons belonged to different cities of the country. The arrested people were later handed over to FIA authorities for further investigation.
ASSAILANTS GUN DOWN MAN IN QUETTA: Some unidentified assailants gunned down a man in Satellite Town here on Sunday. Police said the attackers targeted a man identified as Siddiqui near Mini Market area in Satellite town. Siddiqui sustained severe injuries in the attack and died on the spot. The attackers, however, managed to flee from the scene.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Civil Hospital Quetta for medico-legal formalities. However, motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
A case has been registered and further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
