Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari will visit Muzaffarbad here on Wednesday (today) where he is scheduled to address the joint session of both the houses of the AJK Parliament including Legislative Assembly and the Council.
"Arrangements for President Zardari's visit have been finalized", an AJK government spokesman announced here Tuesday evening.
A special meeting of AJK PP parliamentary party was convened in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday with Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed in the chair.
The speaker Legislative Assembly Sardar Ghulam Sadiq Khan, the ministers and members of the assembly attended the meeting. While speaking on the occasion, the AJK prime minister stated that President Zardari's visit to AJK capital has paramount significance in connection with the freedom movement of Kashmiris.
"it would not only boost up our struggle and commitment but would also send a goodwill message to the other side of Line of Control", he added.
The AJK Premier observed that the scheduled tour of President Zardari would usher in era of development in AJK besides leaving far-reaching positive impact on Kashmiris struggle for freedom.
He maintained that his government was implementing the vision and policies of party leadership to promote the Kashmir cause both at home and abroad besides the politics based on reconciliation and consensus.
Candidates declared: PML-N high command has issued party tickets to Makhdoom Syed Ali Hassan Gillani for NA-183 Bahawalpur 1 (Ahmedpur East), Hassan Askari Sheikh for PP-267 (Chanigoth-Uch Sharif), Malik Khalid Mehmood Warran for PP-269.
(Dhorkot-Mubarakpur) while ticket for PP-268 has been award to Qazi Adnan Farid. It is to be noted that the PML-N leadership did not award tickets to former MPAs - Makhdoom Syed Iftikhar Hassan Gillani and Malik Jehanzeb Warran from Tehsil Ahmedpur East constituencies.
