US drone strike in South Waziristan kills five

At least five persons were killed and seven others injured when a US drone struck a compound in South Waziristan Agency (SWA) here in Wana on Wednesday.
According to details, an unmanned US spy plane fired two missiles at a residential compound located in village Sararogha of Babar Kot in SWA.
As a result of missiles strike the compound was destroyed completely resulting in death five people and leaving seven others injured.
It was stated that the house was owned by Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants.
The local people on self help basis dug out the bodies and injured from the debris and shifted them to hospital. However, the rescue activities were started with delay as drones continued lower flights creating fear and panic among the dwellers.
It was feared that death toll may rise further as condition of some injured people was also stated to be critical.
It is worth to mention here that US drone strikes are deeply unpopular among the countrymen who consider them attack on sovereignty of country and against international human rights.
However, the Obama led US administration was of the opinion that drone strikes were the only weapon to curb the terrorism and deal extremists therefore can’t be stopped.
