ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Terheek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan demanded a resignation from Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for killing eight Pakistan Awami Tehreeks’ (PAT) workers in Lahore.
Addressing a press conference today, Khan blamed Sharif brothers for damaging the repute of Punjab police only for their own interests. “Are there no barricades in front of palaces in Model Town and Raiwind,” Khan asked, referring to residences of Sharif brothers. “Police always break the law on the order of Sharif brothers. Nawaz Sharif hired 25,000 policemen against the merit,” he alleged. The IG Police should be put behind the bar and Home Secretary should also go home, he demanded. “We have convened a party’s meeting tomorrow to announce our next line of action,” Khan announced. He, however, said that PTI would not hold its public rally in Bahawalpur on June 27, 2014.
