WARBURTON - A number of teachers rarely take their classes as they are regularly appointed as invigilators and superintendents by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education at various examination centres.
In addition, many teachers remain absent from the schools as well the examination centres. Parents and students protested against their continuous absence from schools.
However, some teachers always prefer to be appointed as invigilators in February under the Punjab Examination Commission for SSC exam in March, BA exams in April and for intermediate exams. They have left their schools the last four months and will return after summer vacation. Then they will enjoy other two supplementary exams of SSC and Intermediate in Oct and November. The protesting students and parents have demanded end to their absence from schools and urged the officials concerned to ensure their continuous presence to save the students’ future.
