Robbers gunned down two real sisters and injured their parents upon resistance during a robbery attempt here in Narowal on Thursday.
According to details, three armed robbers barged into a house located in village Bambu of tehsil Shakargarh, district Narowal and started looting the valuables at gun point.
Upon resistance from the residents the dacoits opened fire killing Saima 14, on the spot and critically injuring Shumaila, 17, and her parents and fled the scene with looted valuables.
The injured were rushed to a hospital in Lahore for treatment where Shumaila also succumbed to her wounds.
Meanwhile the family and relatives of the deceased girls held protest demonstration at Zafarwal-Shakargarh Road and blocked the road for all kind of traffic creating massive traffic jam. The protestors were demanding arrest of the accused. They later dispersed peacefully after authorities reached the scene and assured to bring the culprits to book.
The police have registered a case against unknown murderers and started search for them.
