ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf has reiterated its support for dialogue with the TTP and urged the government to break any deadlock that may prevail.
PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari in a statement issued today said the PTI Core Committee was given an extensive briefing by Rustum Shah Mohmand on the Govt-TTP talks and their present status. The PTI reiterated its support for dialogue and urged the government to break any deadlock that may prevail. PTI also pointed out that the dialogue had already shown positive results in the reduction of terrorism by TTP; and the tribals asserting their support for peace through dialogue. PTI resolved to stand by its position that peace can only come through dialogue and never through military operation as our history has shown, she said.
