KARACHI - Intelligence agencies have warned against possible terrorist attacks across the metropolis, as, according to them, some 12 suicide bombers are prowling in city neighbourhoods.
According to details, a communiqué has been issued by the National Crisis Management Cell to the provincial government and authorities concerned about the existence of a dozen suicide bombers in Karachi. The suicide bombers belong to the Al-Mansoor group of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), communiqué said and added that the bombers have planned to carry out major terror activity anywhere in the city. Their possible targets might have been the media houses, training camps of the law-enforcement agencies and sensitive installations and offices of moderate political parties. Law enforcers including Rangers and police have been put on high alert while the security, especially at the training centers and sensitive installations have also been enhanced. It is pertinent to mention here that such sort of communiqué became a matter of routine while security high ups have taken up the notice of threats and directed to beef up the security of media offices.
call for animal hides collection plan: Jammat-e-Islami Karachi leader Naseem Siddiqui has appealed the to law enforcement agencies of metropolis to create a master plan for the collection of the animal hides on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
Naseem Siddiqui said that a delegation of the JI Karachi with JI Karachi chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti will soon meet the law enforcement officials on the problems faced during the collection of animal hides. A letter has already been written to Home Sectary, IG Sindh, Additional IG Karachi and DG Ranger and officials have been appealed to take serious and immediate measures against the unlawful collection and snatching incidents during the collection of the animals’ hides on the Holy occasion of the Eid.
