KHYBER AGENCY - AHMAD NABI - After clearance of Tirah Valley from militants, the first phase of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) peacefully entered Maidan area of Tirah valley from Kohat en-route to Oragzai Agency, officials of FDMA and local administration said.
Sources said that around 48 effected families of Malik Dinkhel tribe were repatriated and officials of FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) and political administration assisted them in this regard. They said that soon after the militants' pull out, the officials of FDMA, political administration and security forces decided to initiate the process of repatriation of IDPs.
"The elders of Malak Dinkhel tribe decided to go first to their hometown and their first convoy Tirah from Jarma area of Kohat. The repatriation process will be continuing from September 15 to October 15," FDMA official said. It is pertinent to mention here that some 30,000 families have been displaced from Tirah valley.
