SARGODHA-Pakistan Sunni Tehreek Head Sarwat Ejaz Qadri said that the terrorists had held the country hostage while the rulers were begging peace from the “killers of humanity”.
Talking to the media, Qadri said that Taliban were killing innocent people in the name of Shariah while the rulers were begging the alms of peace instead of fighting them. He claimed that 300 “terrorists” had been released by the government and were being sent to fight in Syria on the indication of a friendly country.
He alleged that Lashkar-e-Jhangwi was involved in the murder of his own brother. He said that if the government did not release Mumtaz Qadri till May 13, a “grand” congregation would be held at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpind on May 22. He said that the person whose forefathers had not recognised Pakistan been nominated as Kashmir Committee head. He said that they would not pick more funerals and fight terrorists at all levels. He said, “We will confront the perpetrators of blowing up mosques and shrines.”
POWER CUT: Fesco has disconnected the power supply to Motorway Makhdom Interchange over non-payment of electricity dues of Rs200,000, said Superintending Engineer Sheikh Amil Siddiq. Meanwhile, the water supply of Kala Bagh and Esa Khel of Mianwali district were also disconnected due to non-payment of Rs20 million, he added. He noted that the power connection of Kalabagh and Esa Khel water supply had been restored and given a respite of 10 days to deposit the bill on the assurance of the Sargodha divisional commissioner.
Crackdown on outlaws: On the direction of Sargodha Regional Police Officer Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir, the police launched a crackdown on outlaws across the region.
Talking to the media men here on Wednesday, Police DSP (Investigations) Malik Ghazanfar Abbas Nathoka disclosed that heavy contingent of police and elite force started search operation in hilly areas of Sargodha Region including Soon Valley Khushab, Mosa Khel, Chakrala and adjacent areas from the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
He said that a number of suspected have been apprehended for interrogation. He said that operation against criminals would be fruitful to curb the crimes across the region.
Pakistan President Syed Mamnoon Hussain has said that the members of the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) have great potential for economic cooperation with their immense natural and human resources but, unfortunately, intra-OIC trade does not reflect this potential.
