ABBOTTABAD - Police on Friday claimed to have arrested two US national girls who were walking in the limits of Cantt police without necessary documents but later released them after investigations.
According to police sources, two American girls were walking in the area without necessary documents when the police arrested them and took them to police station for investigations. During inquiry, they told the police that they came here to participate in a game which according to police information cannot be organised in the area.
Police asked them to show documents but they refused to do so after which the police asked for any reference which could show their identification.
Later, police was informed that they were staying in a church after which the church administration was called to police station for their identification.
The church administration informed the police that they visited in the area of Abbottabad for coaching women team of basketball.
After getting valid proof, the police released the girls.
