Rs3m compensation for each family

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD - Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has announced compensation of Rs 30 lakh each for the family of those PAT workers who lost their life in Model Town Secretariat of Tehrike Minhajul Quran on Tuesday. The Chief Minister expressed sense of deep sorrow and grief over the killing of innocent persons.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif telephoned Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and sought report of the Lahore incident where police firing left eight persons dead when Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) activists resisted the lifting of barricades in front of Allama Tehirul Qadri's house.
Expressing deep sorrow over loss of lives, the prime minister directed Punjab chief minister to hold inquiry into the matter and take action against all those who let the things aggravate to this level.
The PM is in Tajikistan. He arrived in Dushanbe on Tuesday on a two-day state visit.
Meanwhile according to media reports, Chief Minister Sharif has ordered judicial enquiry into the incident of clash. He pledged that action would be taken against all those responsible for deaths in the clash.
