KARACHI- The campaigner for the rights of missing persons of Balochistan province, Mama Qadeer Baloch has demanded recovery of all missing persons.

Mama, 72, who led a long march from Quetta to Islamabad for the recovery of missing persons, said he was saddened that the official lists of missing persons do not carry the names of many missing persons. He claimed that more than 2000 people have been whisked away by secret agencies. He said if the government failed to recover all missing persons they would launch another protest drive. He said during his visit to Islamabad he had met with international bodies also and they assured him that the issue of missing persons be taken with the government of Pakistan officially.

Another campaigner, Farzana Baloch, speaking on the occasion claimed that her brother, Zakir Majeed Baloch, was also in custody of agencies and they have been running from the pillar to post to seek justice. She regretted that the government is doing nothing except making false promises. She reminded that the then Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had ordered the agencies to release the missing persons. She said that it is sad to hear after their long march many names of missing persons including Zakir Majeed were removed from the official list of missing persons.
