RAWALPINDI - Rawat Police Station (PS) officials impounded a mini truck that was loaded with stolen kerosene oil filled in drums worth Rs 0.85 million and held the driver. A case has been registered against the driver while the further investigation was underway, informed PS Rawat officials here on Tuesday. According to details, police, on a tip off, conducted a raid at Al Awan Hotel at Bagha Sheikhan where the truck bearing registration number LXP-9151 was parked. Upon search, police found the drums that were loaded with stolen kerosene oil worth of Rs 8, 50000. The truck driver Muhammad Jaffar was also arrested by police and was put behind the bars. Meanwhile, police while taking action in various localities of the city rounded up a total of 12 persons on account of carrying illegal arms and drugs. Another incident, police also recovered 720 grams of Charas, 6 liquor bottles and one pistol with 5 bullets from the possession of the captive persons. Against all the arrested persons, cases have been registered whereas the interrogations have also been launched, informed police spokesman.-
