LAHORE A lawyer has demanded of the government to fill in the two vacancies in the Supreme Court by elevating the senior most judges in light of Al-Jihad case of 1996. Addressing a Press conference here on Monday, Advocate Ahsan Asghar Chaudhry said today the judiciary was quite independent and decision on appointment and elevation of judges on merit, would largely go to further improve its image. He said over the last three months two vacancies are lying vacant in the Supreme Court which need to be filled in without further delay.
