JHANG - PPP’s Central Executive Committee member Syeda Abida Hussain has announced to contest election from NA-89, the most important and sensitive constituency consisting of urban area. She made this announcement in a meeting of workers held at her residence Shah Jewana House. She said that she would contest from this seat as an independent candidate if the PPP did not award her a ticket.
Syeda.Abida was elected as MNA from this constituency in 1988 by defeating Late Maulana Haq Nwaz Jhangvi, the founder of  Sepahe Sihaba Pakistan. She also announced that her son M Abid. Imam who has joined Pakistan Tehrik Insaf would contest from NA-88-Shah Jewana constituency against Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat.
