PESHAWAR - To strongly condemn the Israeli’s aggression against innocent Palestinians in Gaza strip, activists of religious and political parties on Friday took out protest rallies across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA and urged upon the Muslim Ummah to get united and stop Zionists’ atrocities against innocent Muslims.
On the call of Jamaat Islami Central Chief Sirajul Haq, activists of JI took out protest rallies in all big cities of the province. In this connection, a protest demonstration was started from Muhabat Khan Mosque in Peshawar after Friday prayer to condemn Israel for brutal killing of innocent people in airstrikes and express solidarity with Palestinians.
The protest led by JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary General Shabir Ahmad Khan, former MNA Sabir Hussain Awan, JI FATA chapter Secretary General Dr Munsif Khan, and district level ameers of Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, central and provincial nazims of Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) Zubair Hafiz and Mian Suhabud Din, and Khateeb Jamia Mosque Muhabat Khan Qari Tayyab Qureshi were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against Israel atrocities in Ghaza. They also raised their full-throated slogans against the leaders of Muslim states for playing a role of silent spectator.
The protest rally after passing through different routes of the city turned into a procession. Addressing the protestors, the JI leaders strongly condemned the Zionist forces’ aggression against helpless innocent Palestinians and warned to stop the atrocities.
Similarly, workers of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) staged a protest demonstration here on main Sher Shah Suri road outside the Peshawar Press Club on Friday.
The protest was headed by ASWJ District Ameer Mualana Ismail Darwish along with dozen of activists. They were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the barbarism and atrocities of Israeli forces in Gaza strip. The protestors also raised full-throated anti-Israeli slogans, demanding the Muslim World and UN to intervene into the matter for immediate halt to Israel’s bombardment. Talking to media person, Maulana Darwish strongly condemned the bombardments in which hundreds of innocent Palestinians, including women, children and aged people were killed.
Meanwhile, workers of Jamaatud Dawa (JuDs) also took out a rally against the barbarism of Israeli troops in Gaza strip. The rally participants marched from main Fowara Chowk at Peshawar Sadder and ended outside the Peshawar Press Club here on Friday. The rally was led by JuD activists Ghazi Inamullah, Hafi Samiullah and Sadiq Hussain along with scores of other workers.
Meanwhile Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Landi Kotal chapter also staged a protest demonstration against Israel aggression in Ghaza outside the Landi Kotal Press Club and demanded of Muslim world to extend all-out support to innocent Palestinians and take steps for halting their killings.
Addressing on the occasion, Senior PTI leader Abdurraziq Shinwari criticised the OIC for their role of a silent spectator on the brutalities of Israel against Palestinians.
