KARACHI-Pakistan Rangers Sindh had received threats from terrorist in reaction to ongoing military operation in North Waziristan Agency thus a high level meeting was called at Pakistan Rangers Sindh headquarters in Karachi.
In the meeting a strategy was finalised to protect sensitive installations in Karachi. Other relevant departments had also been asked to exercise extra-vigilance and ensure immediate sharing of information with the Rangers authorities.
Senior Rangers officers, Additional Inspector general of Police Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo, Maritime security Agency Director General, Pakistan Navy officers, Traffic Police Deputy Inspector General, Karachi Port Trust Security Director, CSO, Karachi South Deputy Commissioner and representatives from Karachi local government department attended the meeting.
High ranking officials from Pakistan rangers Sindh and Karachi police took detailed deliberations on pros and cons of the threats and onward security measures, which the meeting approved.
It was decided in the meeting that all the relevant departments would work in close coordination and share any information they would get so that the city can be saved from any terrorist attack.
