RAWALPINDI Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Tuesday said that Pakistani Armed Forces were fully capable to cope with both external and internal challenges faced by the country. Addressing the 64th Formation Commanders Conference that continued here at the GHQ for the second day, General Kayani congratulated the formations on successful conclusion of 'Year of Training and series of Army Exercises 'Azm-e-Nau. He lauded the conduct of operations against miscreants in Swat/Malakand and tribal areas, and also highlighted the follow-up role of Army in the social development of the affected areas. Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers and Formation Commanders are attending the conference. The participants were given comprehensive briefings on security environment and operational/training matters. The briefings were followed by an open and purposeful discussion.
