Dacoit killed, 4 wounded in blast, firing incidents in Mastung

A dacoit was killed and four others, including a Levies official, wounded in separate firing and bomb blast incidents, while unidentified terrorists fired two rockets into Mastung district sowing panic in the area.
In the first incident, a dacoit was killed near Maizai terminal in Qila Abdullah district.
Assistant Commissioner Alam Firaz Muhammad Hassani said Levies personnel tried to flag down a suspicious motor rider near the terminal, but the rider accelerated, forcing Levies personnel to chase him down.
The dacoit, Abdul Khaliq alias Janan, was killed in a cross fire, added the official. The body was shifted to a local hospital.
A pistol and a stolen motorbike of the dead dacoit were seized. A case has been registered. Further investigation is underway.
In another incident, three people were wounded in a roadside bomb blast in Dera Allayar area of Jaffarabad district.
Police sources said explosives, concealed in a rickshaw parked on Deputy Commissioner Road, went off wounding three passers-by.
Law-enforcement agencies rushed and threw a cordon in the area. The injured were shifted to a hospital for medical aid.
The blast damaged the rickshaw and prompted panic in the area. No group claimed the responsibility of the blast.
Meanwhile, two rockets fired by unidentified men landed into Mastung Bazaar and Madni area. No loss of life or damage to property was reported in the attack, luckily.
