Speakers during a seminar expressed concern over rising number of child labourers. A seminar on ‘Child Labour’ was organised by the Child Rights Committee here on Monday.
They said that both the employers and the parents are responsible for the menace of child labour. They said that child labour was more at those places where women were not allowed to go out and work. They said that the laws that existed in the country suggested that the government authorities concerned wanted regulation of child labour instead of its elimination.
They condemned the child abuse incidents and demanded the government to take solid steps to eliminate child labour and their sexual harassment. Tahir Zeeshan, Arif Qazi, DBA President Nazir Raza, advocate Tariq Mahmood, Rana Khalid Mahmood,Imran Mahmood and Mian Saeed Ahmad spokie on the occasion.
MAYHEM CONDEMNED: A rally was taken out by religious activists to condemn the Rawalpindi incident. The rally started from Jamia mosque Bilal, grain market here on Monday.
The participants reached Saddr bazaar chowk where Ahli Sunnat Waljamat District Ameer Moulana Awais, Maulana Mujeeb Ludhianvi,Maulana Sheikhain Toheedi, Irfan Jhangvi, Maulana Saadullah, Hafiz Ismail and Maulana Shamsuzzaman addressed the rally. They termed it effort against the peace and demanded of the government to bring the culprits into the book.
