RAWALPINDI - A local court on Friday sent Captain of Pakistan Army, an accused of quadruple murder, to Adyala Jail on 14-day judicial remand.
The captain is facing charges of murdering his parents and two sisters.
Ghulam Shabbir, Sub-Inspector/investigation officer of Police Station Moragh, presented the accused before the court and informed the judge that the police had recovered a 9mm pistol used in the murder, two empty shells and 23 bullets from the possession of the murderer during the investigation. The police officer also told the court that the police had not required more physical remand of the accused, therefore, he might be sent to judicial remand.
The judge sent the army officer to Adyala Jail. It is pertinent to mention here that a retired brigadier of Pakistan Army Dr Sikandar Ali Malik, his wife Shahida Malik and their two daughters Zainab and Fatima were found dead in their bedrooms on September 30, 2013 at their house located in residential colony of Al Shifa Eye Trust Hospital on G.T. Road. All were murdered by shooting into heads. The military authorities held Dr Haider Abbas Malik, the elder son of the deceased brigadier. Captain Dr Haider Abbas has reportedly confessed his the crime of killing his family members before the investigation team of military authorities.
