Islamabad- Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan has said that Pakistan is not considering granting Most Favoured Nation status to India.
In an interview with Arab News in Riyadh, he said we do not talk about Most Favoured Nation any more. He, however, said Pakistan and India have agreed to work together and boost commercial relations by giving non-discriminatory market access status to each other. To a question, the Minister said that the two countries have made progress on the issue of purchasing electricity from India. He said the GSP Plus status will allow almost twenty percent of Pakistani exports to enter the EU market at zero tariffs and at seventy percent preferential rates. He said the GSP Plus status award shows the confidence of international markets in the excellent quality of Pakistani products.
