FEROZEWALAFour people were gunned down over an old enmity near Misson Kalar in the limit of factory area police station on Thursday. According to details, the deceased Rashid, Inamullah, Asif Gujjar and Tariq Mehmud were going to Ferozewala in a car to appear in the court. The rival group identified as Imran, Faqir Hussain, Amir Ali and others already hiding, opened fire. As a result all the four car riders Inamullah, Tariq Mehmud, Rashid and Asif Gujjar died on the spot. The rivals later escaped after firing in the air. The deceased and accused had an old rivalry and dozen of people in past had already killed from both sides. Factory area police have started investigations. WAPDA office ransacked: record damaged Hundreds of citizens in Kot Abdul Malik, stormed into WAPDA (LESCO) office ransacked furniture and damaged its record while protesting against the outages on Thursday. The protesters blamed that the electricity supply was suspended to their localities and shopping centers for the last two days. The SDO concerned besides several complaints did not bother to redressal the problems, the protesters said. Heavy contingent of police arrived at site and tried to disperse the mob. The protesters started pelting stones on the law-enforcers injuring five constables including the SDO Riaz. The police and WAPDA high-ups arrived and got restored the traffic which remained suspended for two hours, assuring the protesters to restore the electricity supply as soon as possible. 15 labourers faint after taking poisonous syrup As many as 15 labourers including five women and three children fainted after taking poisonous syrup from a vendor in Chak No. 46 in the limits of Ferozewala police station on Thursday. According to details, Farzana, Saadia, Kausar Bibi, Noshin 7, Umrin 10, Aslam and others were working in a field. Meanwhile, a vendor selling cold syrup came there. They took the syrup and after taking it all of them got fainted while the vendor escaped from the site. Ferozewala police has started investigations.
