PESHAWAR - Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that the federal government is failed to initiate talks with Taliban and as a result the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is bearing the brunt.
“Those who support war on their own soil and describe us as coward, should also tell us that what has been gained from the alien war fought for the last nine years,” Imran Khan said while talking to the media in Dera Ismail Khan after offering prayers for the departed soul of Israrullah Gandapur, KPK Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, killed in a suicide attack on Wednesday last. He said that the PML-N-led federal government was playing delaying tactics in holding talks with Taliban due to which the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province were directly affecting.
The PTI chief also informed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government chalked out a new comprehensive security plan and will be operationalised soon to protect the lives and properties of masses.
On this occasion, PTI Central Secretary Information Jehangir Khan Tareen, and newly elected Member National Assembly (MNA) Dawar Kundi were also present. Imran Khan said that Taliban did not took responsibility for all the three main terrorists incidents recently happened in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “Now the entire nation questions that who are behind these terrorist acts,” he added.
The PTI Chairman said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was adjacent to the tribal areas from the three sides due to which it was the most affected province. He also claimed that it was the PTI, which talked about holding of dialogue to resolve the issues. He questioned if the United States could opt for talks with Taliban then why should not us? He said that miscreants and anti-dialogue elements were spreading terror in the province to sabotage peace talks.
Earlier, Imran Khan offered Fateha for the departed soul of Provincial Minister late Israrullah Gandapur and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.

Staff Reporter from Karachi adds: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said the statement of Imran Khan is a joke to the Pakistani nation.
It is a matter of sorry that Imran Khan still believes that war on terror is not against Pakistan.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, he said our soldiers had been martyred in this war. Innocent citizens were also being martyred during attacks on the schools, mosques, imambargahs, and bazaars.
Memon questioned the PTI chief, Imran Khan that how many more dead bodies he wanted to see and then it might be possible that he would consider it the war of Pakistan.
APP adds: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engr. Shaukatullah Saturday said that quality education contributes vital role in socio-economic uplift of people.
Talking to a group of institutional heads and senior teachers of the secondary, higher secondary and colleges of Khyber Agency who called on him at Governors House, the Governor further observed, “beyond doubt the government on its part making every effort to establish educational institutions; their maintenance and further development.” But, he added, without meaningful services of teachers and efficient supervision and support of the respective people, the achievement of desired results is impossible. Ex-Parliamentarian, Muhammad Shah Afridi was also present on this occasion.
“Special measures are already underway to bring structural improvement of educational institutions in entire FATA which can be judged from the fact that all the primary school buildings will comprise of at least five rooms each under a gradual arrangement,” the Governor said.
Responding to various points of the delegates, the Governor said, though maintenance of law and order has remained major problem in Khyber Agency in particular over the recent past, yet, the situation is rapidly improving for the last about couple of months.
The problems in Tirah Valley of the agency, he added, have already been controlled to a great extent and will be fully resolved in near future.
Referring to another point, the Governor said, that the “Shuhada” package is meant for all those government employees who have embraced martyrdom over the recent pact and if, near and dear ones of any of the deceased teacher have been left out of the process, details should be furnished at the earliest for disbursement of the compensation in accordance with the set procedure.
Talking on a demand for proper implementation of up-gradation policy meant for teachers, the Governor assured the delegates to look into the matter and make sure that their justified point of views are fully materialized without any further delay.
