3 abducted after Peshawar grenade hit

PESHAWAR - Unknown armed militants attacked the Hujra (male guestroom) of slain leader of Awami National Party Mian Mushtaq here at Masho Khail area and kidnapped his three relatives in wee hours of Sunday.
Mian Naseer Ahmad, who is relative of Mushtaq, told police that armed persons attacked their house with two hand grenades and later picked up their three relatives namely Shakeel, Fahad and Shabbir. He said that two cars parked outside the house were also partially damaged due to the attack.
The station house officer told media persons that the attackers were wearing masks on their faces and it was not confirmed whether they were militants or opponents of Mushtaq family. He said that a search operation was under way and soon the culprits would be brought to justice.
Mushtaq was an active leader of ANP in district Peshawar and was killed in Masho Khail area along with his two companions.
BLAST DAMAGES TRADER'S HOME
Staff Reporter from Khyber Agency adds: The main gate of Hujra (male guestroom) of a local trader and two cars were damaged in an explosive device blast here at Jamrud area on late Saturday night, said an official of political administration on Sunday.
According to details, unknown miscreants targeted the Hujra of Saeed Khan, a local trader, with a bomb. Luckily, no loss of life was reported. A case against unknown criminals has been registered and investigations are under way, sources said.
GUNMEN KILL ANP LEADER IN BUNER
NNI adds: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a local leader of Awami National Party in Buner on Sunday, police and the party said.
Police said that armed men stopped the car of ANP leader, Muhammad Afzal Khan, at Juar area and sprayed bullets, killing him on the spot. He was accompanied by some other friends ,however, nobody was hurt. The gunmen fled after the shooting. No group claimed responsibility. The police said they are investigating motive behind the attack.
In another incident, unidentified lobbed a hand grenade at the house of a slain ANP leader at Mashokhel area near Peshawar, causing partial damage to the building. Nobody was hurt.
However, the gunmen later entered the house of ANP leader Mian Mushtaq kidnapped some of his relatives. The police conducted a search action but nobody was arrested.
