Students killing stirs up violent protest

Students ran amuck and attacked several buses and passenger vans with stones, clubs and iron rods to give vent to their anger against the killings of two students crushed by buses in two separate incidents in Sialkot and Daska here today. The protesting students broken the windowpanes of vehicles and kept the traffic blocked on main Defence Road and Daska-Sialkot Road for an hour by burning tyres. They also staged a sit-in and chanted slogans against the police.
According to details, a speeding passenger bus (K-7386) crushed to death a class 10th student namely Shoaib who was on the way to school along with his father on a motorcycle. The bus hit the motorcycle (STN-3025), killing the student on the spot near Umer Academy Stop on Defence Road in Sialkot city. The Uggoki Police have registered a case against the fleeing bus driver.
In another incident which occurred on Main Daska-Sialkot Road near village Bheelo Mahaar-Motra an Intermediate Part-II student Waleed was crushed under the wheels of a bus when he attempted to get on the bus.
The accused bus driver fled away from the scene.
The Motra Police have reregistered a case, with no arrest, in this regard.
Later, both of the deceased students were laid to rest in their native graveyards in this evening.
