Q-League demands Sharif brothers to step down

Lahore- PML-Q leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi today demanded resignation from both federal and provincial governments over June 17, 2014 deadly police raid at Minhaj ul Quran Secretariat in Model Town.
Addressing a press conference, Elahi said that 30 workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) were still missing and 12 people were buried in a mass grave.
He urged Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to accept responsibility of Lahore killings and step down.
“Shahbaz Sharif boasts about good governance. He is now shifting his responsibility on others,” he remarked. “Both Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif are guilty of shedding blood of unarmed protesters at Model Town. They will have to go,” he stressed.
The former chief minister said that IG Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera was brought under a deal on the eve of police assault. Commenting on Rana Sanaullah’s sacking as Law Minister, Elahi said that this was all drama, adding those who gave orders for live firing should step down to make way for an independent inquiry.
