Sehba 'brings Musharrafs message for Army Chief

ISLAMABAD (Online) - Wife of former president Pervez Musharraf, Begum Sehba Musharraf, has reached Pakistan with an important message for the army chief and other key military and political figures. Well placed sources revealed that Begum Sahba Musharraf was staying in a farmhouse at Chak Shahzad for last few days. She is likely to meet the army chief, the ISI chief and key political and establishment figures. She would also hold a series of meetings with wives of serving and retired military officers. Sources said that her arrival in Pakistan is aimed at paving the way for future political journey of her husband, following his announcement to reach Pakistan on March 23 the next year. She would inform Musharraf about the outcome of her meetings. Stringent security measures have been taken for Sehba and she had been directed to keep her movement restricted, they added. When contacted, Musharrafs party, All Pakistan Muslim League, spokesman Fawad Chaudhry told that Sehba was in Islamabad these days and she had no role in the political activities of his husband. Fawad said that since Pervez Musharraf has served in army for 40 years, his family has close relations with the families of serving and retired army generals and they have been maintaining the social contacts with them.
