PESHAWAR - Condemning the US-made blasphemous movie disrespecting the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Islam, the activists of different students organisations Thursday recorded separate protest demonstrations and rallies. Activists of Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT), University Campus, held a grand protest rally on the premises of the campus. The infuriated protesting students chanted full-throated slogans against the US, Israel and other anti-Islam forces for this wicked act. The protestors asked the government to immediately sever diplomatic ties with the US and expel her ambassador forthwith.They also demanded the international community to award hanging to death punishment to the devil film producer, and the US should tender apology, otherwise, peace of the world could be disrupted, they warned. The protestors hailing from different walks of life joined with agitators under the banner of different political and religious parties, student wings and Trader unions to express their anger over the making of anti-Islam film. The protesters also set the US national flag and effigy of the US president Obama on fire. The agitators were including activists of IJT, Watan Pal, a Pakistan Peoples’ Party-Sherpao students’ wing, United Muncipal Workers Union, Nurses and Paramedical staff of Leady Ready Hospital, trade unions and transporters staged separate protest demonstration. The biggest gathering were held inside the campus, where hundreds of IJT activists gathered in Faqir of Epi Lawn and then marched towards PUTA Hall. The protestors were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the US, Israel, American priest and Jewish lobby. The protestors led by IJT Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter nazim Sohail Ahmad, its campus nazim Mian Sohaibud Din and other student leaders. Addressing the protestors, the student leaders while condemning the making of an anti-Islam movie, said that feelings of millions of Muslims across the glob were hurt. They said that non of the Muslim could bear the insult of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and vowed to rendered any sort of sacrifice but to protect the sanctity of the true messenger. They were demanded to award exemplary punishment for the filmmaker and his companions in this shameful act, to avoid such sacrilegious attempts in future. The enraged protesters said that American had hurt sentiment of Muslims by such sacrilegious attempts. “We will not tolerate any more desecration of our Prophet his companions and Islam and vowed to rendered sacrifices of our lives and properties and protect the sanctity and holiness of last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)”, said the infuriated students leaders. Islam also pay greater respect to other revealed religions, and messengers of Almighty Allah, and the last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a symbol of unity and affection and role model for the entire humanity, they said. The demonstrators asked the US to stop playing with the sentiments of more than one billion Muslims, and warned that their resentment and anger would further be expended, if again such heinous and irresponsible act was repeated. G Mursalin Marwat from Lakki Marwat adds: Activists of different political parties and traders took out a rally in Serai Gambila Town on Thursday to record their protest against anti-Islam film. Local Leaders of JUI-S and Jamat-e-Islami led the rally, which walked on Indus Highway and converged in Gambila bazaar. Speaking on the occasion the district deputy ameer of JUI-S Maulana Hidayatullah Chishti, JI’s district ameer Maulana Malik Meer Shah and others condemned that US and Jewish lobby for making a derogatory movie against Islam, Quran and Holy Prophet (PBUH). They said that Muslim would not tolerate such acts on infidels and would respond them stiffly. Speakers said that the film director and players should be arrested and prosecuted besides the world community should take measures to stop such anti Islam acts in future. They demanded of the government to severe diplomatic ties with United States and send US ambassador back to his country as a mark of protest. They called upon the Muslim world to forge unity and boycott US and Western products. Yaum-e-Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH) today: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has notified that September 21 (today) will be a public holiday and it will be observed as Yaum-e-Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH), said an official letter.Meanwhile, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has ordered posting and transfer of the following officers, in the public interest, with immediate effect. Mr. Ajmal Khan (PCS EG BS-19) District Coordination Officer, Charsadda to report to Establishment Department and Syed Zafar Ali Shah (PMS BS-17) assistant Coordination Officer, Peshawar transferred and posted as District Coordination Officer, Charsadda in his own pay and scale.
