RAWALPINDI - Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy unique and special relations of friendship, harmony, faith and brotherhood and these relations are based on common religious, historical, social and cultural ties and have withstood the test of time.
Pir Muhammad Naqib-ur-Rehman, custodian of Eidgah shrine, stated this in his message on the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, says a press release issued here. He extended the warmest and heartiest felicitations to King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, the custodian of Two Holy Mosques, the royal family and people of Saudi Arabia.
The custodian of Eidgah shrine said that under the sagacious leadership and significant role of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz at the international forums, Saudi Arabia took giant strides as an independent, prosperous and strong Islamic state, which is always ready to help and support Muslims where in the world.
"Saudi Arabia's stability and security is a guarantee of the stability of the international energy and economic system. Saudi Arabia has always played the most significant and vital role for the welfare of the humanity," he commented.
"We have special love and reverence for Saudi Arabia, which is the most sacred land for people of Pakistan. The religious affinity is the greatest source of inspiration for all of us. People of Pakistan have special love and respect for the sacred places in Saudi Arabia and are always ready to sacrifice everything for the safety, security and solidarity of Saudi Arabia," he said.

Pir Naqib pointed out that Saudi Arabia always stood by Pakistan and its people whenever they faced any natural calamity or crisis and offered generous assistance after the destructive earthquake of 2005 and devastating floods of 2010.
The custodian of Eidgah shrine also lauded the services of His Highness Dr. Abdul Aziz Ibrahim Al-Ghadeer, Saudi ambassador to Pakistan, which he rendered after devastating floods in Pakistan. He termed the heroic and selfless role of the ambassador for ensuring the provision of relief assistance to the flood victims in all parts of Pakistan. He also eulogized the role of the Saudi envoy in facilitating Pakistani pilgrims.
Pir Naqib hoped that under the visionary and sagacious leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, Saudi Arabia will continue playing a key role for the unity among Muslims. He also prayed for the good health and long life of the custodian of Two Holy Mosques as well as peace, progress and prosperity of Saudi Arabia and its people.
