US blamed for Balochistan unrest

The wrong US policies for countering terrorism is major reason of its failure in Afghanistan which also exerted influence on Pakistan, said defence analyst Lt Gen (r) Talat Masood, adding the Raymond Davis issue caused strain in Pakistan-US relations. He was talking on Wednesday in Waqt News programme Barwaqt. PML-N Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan said the present regime was not serious in handling the issue of terrorism and no change could be brought about so far in this regard. He said they should not live in fools paradise by assuming that the US was our friend which was preparing India against China. Pakistan had rendered 35,000 innocent lives in war against terror which had given birth to energy and economic crises in the country, he said. Commenting on the deteriorating situation in Balochistan, he said America was responsible for the prevailing law and order situation in the province. Member standing committee on the interior affairs, Amir Khan Magsi said in present circumstances Pakistan had no alternative but to continue having relations with the US. We can only condemn drone attacks but could not get them stopped, he concluded.
