Justice Iqbals appointment notified

ISLAMABAD (Agencies) - President Asif Ali Zardari has appointed Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman, judge Lahore High Court , as chief justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on and from the date he takes oath of his office, said a press release issued by the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Division on Tuesday. President Asif Zardari has also appointed Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi, District and Sessions Judge/Member Balochistan Service Tribunal, and Riaz Ahmad Khan Advocate, as additional judges of Islamabad High Court (IHC) for a period of one year with effect from the date they take oath of their offices. On the other hand, Justice Abdul Aziz Kundi, Additional Judge of Peshawar High Court (PHC), has also been appointed as a judge of the court with effect from 07-09-2010. The appointment of these judges were recommended by the judicial commission.
