Police seize 334-kg hashish, 28-kg opium

CHINIOT - The police have seized 334 kgs of hashish, the biggest ever quantity of narcotics in the in history of Chiniot district. The seized narcotics were en-route to South Punjab from Afghanistan.
On a tip-off, a police party headed by Chenab Nigar Circle DSP Haji Javed Anwar and Mohammad Wala Police SHO Mohammad Afzal intercepted a Toyota Corola MNX-3007 and recovered 334 kilogram of Charas and 28 kg of Opium. The police also arrested Zahid Khan, son of Muzaffar Khan, a resident of District Lakki Marwat and Saeedullah Jan, son of Bakhtawar District Attock who preliminary confessed that they got the supply from Afghanistan to Lakki Marwat. DPO Rai Zameer told the newsmen that narcotics valued Rs20 million were routed through district chiniot's Lalian-Jhang Road.
