FEROZEWALA - Two family members were killed while two others sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a car and a jeep on Muridke Road Saturday.
The family was going to Muridke when a speedy jeep, coming opposite site, collided with it, killing Shafique and Shakila Bibi on the spot. Police were looking into the matter.
In Mohallah Rasool Nagar, watchman Durbar Khan was shot dead by dacoits when he resisted their robbery bid.
Obituary:A senior journalist from Sheikhupura, Muhammad Sadiq Malik, laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard.  The Punjab Journalist Association in its emergent meeting expressed sorrow and grief over the sad demise.  Local journalists Rana Sarwar, Mian Shabir, Imran Maqbool, Nasir Sheikh, Rana Akram Waqas Afzal Khokhar and others attended the meeting.
They prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
