Pakistan issues travel advisory for Damascus

ISLAMABAD  - Pakistan’s Foreign Office Saturday issued advisory for the citizens aspiring to visit the strife-ridden Syria, advising them to shelve their plans to go to the country for the time being until the situation returns to normalcy.
According to the statement issued from the Foreign Office, the security situation in Syria is far from satisfactory; hence, Pakistani pilgrims raring to visit the country, should avoid travelling, as the gunbattle among Syrian security forces and the rebels has intensified. Furthermore, the FO directed the Pakistanis present in Syria to report to Pakistan’s embassy in Damascus.
