SIALKOT  : Despite lapse of three days, the Sambrial Police have appeared unable to manage arrest of the six notorious proclaimed offenders who escape from police custody by breaking the judicial lock-ups on Saturday. The arrest of these fugitives has become a big challenge for the Sambrial Police.
Meanwhile, a local magisterial court on Monday sent the arrested 12 accused police officials including Inspector M Yousaf and ASI Muhammad Ayub to Sialkot District Jail on judicial remand in this case.
It has been learnt that two fugitives Muzamal and Qaiser had also escaped from police custody after breaking the Begowala police station's lockups few months ago. However, the police later managed to arrest them. Now they again escaped the police custody along with their four other accomplices after breaking judicial lock-up in Sambrial three days ago.
Accused Azmat alias Motu and Luqman alias Gona are brothers and they had killed two police constables in a shootout near Begowala police station about two years ago. The escape of the six notorious accused from police custody showed security lapse as the judicial lock ups Sambrial had never been checked by the senior police officials for security purpose.
On the report of Inspector Rana Nadeem Tariq (SHO Sambrial police station), the Sambrial police have registered a case (No. 441/2014) under section 223 and 224 PPC and 155-C against negligent Inspector Muhammad Yousaf, ASI Muhammad Ayub and 12 others policemen.
