MNAs felicitate PM over 19th Amend passage

ISLAMABAD - The MNAs belonging to various parties called on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at his chamber in the Parliament House Wednesday to felicitate him over the unanimous passage of the 19th Constitutional Amendment. They said that personal humility and reconciliatory approach of the Prime Minister played a significant role in building the consensus. The Prime Minister while talking to the MNAs said that the historic achievement of the 19th Amendment was a reflection of political maturity and seriousness of the members as well as the leaders of the political parties to strengthen democracy and rule of law in the country. He appreciated the role of the heads of the political parties for their contribution in strengthening the system. The Prime Minister said that the Government had successfully tackled the major constitutional and administrative challenges and now it was time to focus energies towards the improvement of the living conditions of the masses. Working in unison for national causes would certainly contribute towards the overall well being of the people, he added. The Parliamentarian who called on the Prime Minister included Minister for Religious Affairs and In charge of the Ministry of Labour and Manpower, Syed Khurshid Shah, Minister of State for Interior, Tasneem Qureshi, Chief Whip and MNA, Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, and MNAs Rana Abdul Sattar, Nadeem Ahmed Chan, Malik Abrar, Umair Hayat Khan Rokri, Anayat Ali Shah, M Tariq Tarar, M Tariq Anis, Tariq Shabbir Mayo, Saeed Ahmed Zafar, Ch Zahid Iqbal, M Hayat Khan, Nauman Islam Sheikh, Ms Naseem Qureshi, Ms Raheela Baloch and Ms Reema Kumari.
