PTI anti-Nato protest continues

PESHAWAR - Terming the US drone strikes on Pakistan’s soil as violation of human rights, activists of PTI and its allied parties Sunday vowed to continue blockade of Nato supplies routes until drone attacks are stopped.Workers and office-bearers of the PTI and its allied parties from PK-2 attended the sit-in camp on Hayatabad Toll Plaza, where they check documents of the trailers to stop entry of a container carrying supplies for Nato forces in Afghanistan.The PTI and other parties like JI and AJI have been blocking the Nato supplies routes via Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since November 22 last at four pints passing through district Peshawar, Nowshera, Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan.Led by Fayaz Khalil, an office-bearer of PTI, activists of these parties gathered at Hayatabad Toll Plaza.They said that drone strikes were against Pakistan’s sovereignty and sheer violation of international law, adding that owing to suspension of the supplies, the US had to block itself Nato supplies through KPK, which they termed a big achievement. They said that the federal government has adopted dual standard on drone issue.
