Peshawar- Emirates and Etihad Airlines announced that they would resume flight operations at Bacha Khan Airport in Peshawar, after the deadly attack on PIA aircraft last month. These airlines had suspended flight operations in the wake of an attack on PIA 756 flight on June 25, which left a woman passenger dead and other two crew members injured. Terminal Manager Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Peshawar Airport, Syed Latiful Haq, confirmed that Emirates and Etihad Airlines had intimated to the authorities about starting flight operations.
He said that Emirates airlines first flight would be arriving at Peshawar airport from Dubai today while Etihad fight will arrive on August 1. Qatar Airlines had already restarted its operations from July 3. Six international airlines, including Etihad, Gulf, Saudi Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Qatar and Air Arabia, are operating from Peshawar airport, mostly carrying the working class of KP to Middle Eastern countries and other destinations.
Apart from Air Arabia, all five international airlines had announced suspension of their operations from Peshawar.
