MUZAFFARABAD - At least seven people including six of same family were killed when a vehicle of Red Crescent fell in River Neelum here on Tuesday.
According to details, incharge of Red Crescent Mine Risk Education Programme Qazi Mubashir was returning to Athmuqam after spending Eidul Azha holidays in Muzaffarabad when the vehicle skidded off the road and fell 1,200 metres down into River Neelum.
The locals on self-help basis rescued one injured girl but she succumbed to her wounds while others were washed away by gushing river water.
The deceased included Qazi Mubashir, his wife, four children and driver.
The Red Crescent Society has sought the help of divers to fish the bodies of the missing persons.
The district administration said that speedy water flowing at the scene of the accident washed away the bodies.
