BUREWALA-Thirty passengers were injured as a Lahore-bound bus turned turtles and rammed a tree and electricity pylon in a bid to save a cyclist at Chichawatni Road.
The bus (LEX 3686) was going to Lahore from Burewala. Near Chak 435/EB Chichawatni Road, saving the bicyclist, it capsised. The injured were shifted to THQ Hospital where they were provided medical treatment while one of them, Muhammad Aslam, was referred to Bahawalpur. The local administration and rescue officials reached the spot and carried out the rescue operation. police raided them. In the encounter, both the accused were injured seriously and died later while their accomplice managed to escape.  They were wanted in various cases of murder, robbery by Khanewal, Jhang and Verhari Police.
