RAWALPINDI - Lawlessness rising in Rawalpindi as a trader was shot dead by two robbers over offering resistance during a dacoity bid at Dhoke Ratta while two robbers looted cash from a tyres shop in broad day light in Saddar here on Friday.
Mansoor Haider, 29, son of Mubarak Ali, of Dhoke Ratta area, was on his way to Saddar where he used to run his mobile shop in Singapore Plaza when two robbers intercepted him near the bazaar and tried to snatch his motorcycle.
However, over resistance he was shot dead while the robbers managed to escape leaving Mansoor's motorcycle overturned on the road. The local police rushed to scene and shifted the dead body to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for postmortem.
