MIRPUR (AJK) - The Indian police’ advising the people of Indian-Held Kashmir to get prepared for possible nuclear war is an attempt to create fear of nuclear attack on the IHK population to create hatred against Pakistan, said Justice (r) Abdul Majeed Mallick, former chief justice of AJK High Court here on Wednesday.
Mallick, who is also central president of the Jammu & Kashmir Liberation League, observed that these steps were continuation of the statements of the prime minister and foreign minister of India, made couple of days earlier. “India always chose special moments to suspend bilateral dialogue with Pakistan,” Mallick observed and added that it had always been part of India’s policy to sustain its illegal and forcible occupation of Jammu & Kashmir and to discourage the ongoing freedom movement launched by the people of the state.
The Kashmiri leader further said that India forgets that the people of Jammu & Kashmir are committed, determined and dedicated to the freedom of the state, and designed tactics cannot discourage and defeat the freedom movement and the achievement of self determination by the people of the state.
He proposed that the Kashmir Freedom Movement may further be raised including raising of the Kashmir issue in the United Nations Security Court by Pakistan. “Besides, the AJK government, which was established and assigned the objective of the State as a whole, may also be encouraged and advised to raise the importance of early settlement of the Kashmir issue directly at home and abroad forums,” he suggested.
Snubbing India for recently raising the demand of withdrawal of the United Nations Military Observers Groups from both sides of the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir State, he said that this demand reflects negative approach of India for positive settlement of Kashmir issue. He observed that the demand was derogatory to Shimla Accord.
“However, the UN Security Council should rightly turn down the demand and maintain that the presence of UNMOGIP in Jammu & Kashmir was necessary to observe development of peace till the Kashmir issues is finally settled,” he said.
