Yellow Cab Scheme a revolutionary step

NOORPUR THAL - The yellow cab scheme is a revolutionary step of the Punjab government, which will not only provide job opportunities to the youth but also help eliminate unemployment. PML-N MPA Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu said this while addressing a public gathering at Biland Thal. UC Pelowains former Naib Nazim Malik Abdul Ghafoor Kallu, Incharge MPA Public Secretariat Malik Mulazim Hussain Kallu, UC Rangpur former Nazim Malik Ghulam Jafir Baghoor and former Nazim UC Khatwan Akhtar Khan were also present on the occasion. Waris Kallu said that the Punjab government is taking solid steps for elimination of poverty and unemployment in the province and huge funds has been allocated during the current fiscal year for the purpose. He said that the Punjab government approved distribution of 20,000 small cars and vans among young men and women having intermediate or equivalent qualifications. Every district will be given share from cabs according to the ratio of its population. But government approved 40 per cent quota for south Punjab having 31 per cent of the total population in the province. He said that the cabs will be distributed through computerised balloting to be held at divisional level in the presence of the media. A total of 2,500 vehicles will be distributed among the winners of the draw every month, completing the entire process in eight months. ADB playing vital role for farmers: The Agriculture Development Bank is playing a vital role for the prosperity of farmers of far-flung areas in Thal. Talking to newsmen, ADB Manager Malik Mehboob Ahmad Naich said that the bank has reached a historic cooperation with the peasants for their betterment in the field of agriculture. He emphasized the farmers for best cooperation with the bank staff regarding recovery of loans. He further said that Pakistan is a developing country and we should play our collective role for its prosperity and solidarity.
