N, JI, PTI target govt over power outages in Ramazan

NOWSHEA – Despite the tall claims of government to minimise electricity loadshedding in the holy month of Ramazan, unscheduled and excessive loadshedding in Sehr and Iftar timings continues to turn the masses lives miserable.People belonging to different towns and villages of the district complained that 14 to 16 hours long loadshedding in the hot weather in the month of Ramazan was quite injustice with the masses. They said that people especially women and children at homes were supposed to execute, as four persons were rushed to hospital due to extremely hot weather, whereas inhabitants were also facing acute shortage of portable water at homes and mosques. “If Pesco authorities carry out scheduled loadshedding that might be a ‘blessing’ but for God sake do not compel the masses to self immolation,” an elder Abdul Jabbar Khan said. He lamented that Pesco officials on the one hand carry out hours long loadshedding, while on the other hand low voltage and trapping has largely damaged appliances of the people.  Leaders of the different political parties in opposition including Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) strongly condemned both the PPP-led central and ANP-led provincial governments for failing to deliver. JI district ameer Mairajud Din Khan Advocate and PTI central leader Siraj Muhammad Khan alleged that both the federal and provincial ministers were busy making rampant corruption and have turned deaf years towards the miseries of the masses. Criticising the ANP and PPP for their empty claims, they said that ANP the so-called champions of Pakhtuns rights were making commitments to provide free electricity to the people of this province, but now the people were deprived of even the already existing electricity. They maintained that the incumbent rulers have no right to rule the masses anymore, and should step down for the sake of the country and masses.PML-N leader said that when Zardari, and Asfandyar like corrupt persons were imposed upon a nation, that nation will never be developed, adding electricity is now has become a basic right of the masses and when rulers in power even could not ensure provision of even basic facilities then they have no right to govern. The incumbent rulers except miseries and problems did not give any ease to the masses, they maintained. They asked the rulers to sense the gravity of situation and stop inhuman excessive load shedding in the month of Ramadan, otherwise threatened the patience of masses would be lost and then non of the rulers would escape from the anger of the frustrated masses.
