Park near River Chenab on cards

The Punjab government has decided to build a beautiful public park, over 92 acres of land on the bank of River Chenab at cost of Rs100 million.
This was disclosed by Gujrat DCO Liquat Ali Chattha while chairing a meeting held in connection with the project the other day.
He said that the proposed public park near Mauza Kathla on the bank of River Chenab would be constructed with the funds allocated by the provincial government whereas other recreation facilities would be provided to the public.
The public park, he added, would have a play land, restaurant, swimming pools, parking and a small zoo besides other recreational arrangements.
On the occasion former PML-N MPA Haji Nasir hoped that the proposed public park would not only be beneficial for Gujrat district people but people from adjoining areas would also enjoy the facility.
He also thanked Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif who had not only approved the project but also released funds for it.
