RAWALIND-Forty-seven terrorists were killed in jet aircraft strikes in the area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan Agency and in Khyber Agency today. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), eleven terrorist’s hideouts were bombed and huge cache of arms and ammunition was destroyed in Mir Ali and its surroundings. These air strikes also killed 27 terrorists. While 20 terrorists were killed in air strikes on terrorist’s hideouts in Khyber Agency. Twelve terrorist’s hideouts were destroyed. A vehicle borne suicide attack attempt was foiled in Spinwam area of North Waziristan Agency this afternoon. According to details a single cabin explosive laden vehicle tried to approach a check post outside a civil hospital when soldiers on duty, spotted and fired at the vehicle. The vehicle exploded 100 meters short of check post. 2 soldiers and a civilian embraced shahadat (martyrdom) when nearby roof of a building collapsed due to explosion. Meanwhile, ISPR says 454207 IDPs (36514 families) from North Waziristan Agency have been registered so far at Saidgai registration point. Six ration distribution points have been established for IDPs of North Waziristan Agency (3 at Bannu, 2 at DI Khan and one at Tank) Detailed distribution of 4473 Tons of Ration for 40000 families will commence from Wednesday (25 June). Each Ration bag carries 20/80 Kg of Atta as per size of the family, cooking oil 5 Litre, Dhall 9 Kg, Date 1 Kg, and tea 1 Kg. 32 Relief goods collection points have been established by Army in all major cities of the country for collection of donations.
