Nawaz elected to combat poverty, not Qadri: Saad

RAWALPINDI  - Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday said the people of Pakistan voted Mian Nawaz Sharif to power aimed at combating poverty and lawlessness in the country instead of wrangling with Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) Chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
He said that no one would be allowed to hatch conspiracies against the country or derail the democratic set-up. He said that no body could bring revolution by sitting in a container or travelling in business class of airplane. He said that masses elected Mian Nawaz Sharif as prime minister to eradicate poverty and improve the deteriorating law and order situation of the country. "Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif are not waging war against Qadri," he added.
Saad Rafique was talking to media men after enquiring after the health of injured police personnel admitted at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital here on Monday. He announced Rs3,00,000 as compensation amount for each injured cop on behalf of the CM Punjab.
He also condemned the PAT workers' attack on police personnel outside the airport. He said that the workers of Qadri equipped with batons and iron rods injured some 100 police personnel.
He asked Qadri to visit the hospital and see what kind of revolution he wanted to bring in Pakistan. He also warned Qadri to avoid using his workers as a human shield. 
He said that Qadri's men fired bullets and killed their own men in the Model Town and the government would expose the hidden hands involved in Lahore carnage. 
He said that Pakistan was the country of 180 million people not dozens of Qadri's men. He said that revolution could not be brought by sitting in air-conditioned rooms, containers and travelling in business class of airplanes. The minister said that PAT chief staged a drama to just get protocol of governor level. "Qadri should inform the government prior if he needs such protocol in future," he added.
He said the PML-N was striving hard to provide relief to masses and did not want to de-track," Khawaja said, adding; "We fight against terrorism not Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri".
Hitting Chaudhries of Gujrat and tenant of Lal Haveli very hard, Khawaja Saad Rafique said that Chudahry Shujaat, Pervaiz Elahi and Sheikh Rashid could not bring change in Pakistan with two and half seats.
He announced that Punjab government would give Rs0.3 million to each cop injured in the clashes with PAT workers. He directed doctors to provide the injured cops with best medical facilities. Tight security arrangements were made upon arrival of the federal minister.
